I’m home, unpacked, and just about recovered from an enjoyable four day event held by Living Crafts at Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire.
Having never visited the palace previously, I was taken aback by the beautiful vast buildings and thought it was the ideal venue for a Christmas shopping event.
Situated in the Vanburgh Pavilion, my stand had it’s usual ‘busy’ look going on, with a wide range of different handmade ceramic pieces on display.
Because each piece of my work is a unique one-off, I find it difficult deciding which pieces to display, so often cram as much as I can on the table!
It was so handy having my new card machine to give customers the option of paying on card… which seems to encourage them to spend more! 🙂
The quality of handmade crafts by other exhibitors at the event was outstanding.
I really enjoyed my wander around the pavilions when the show had quietened down at the end of the first day. It was a good job I didn’t take my purse with me!
It was so lovely hearing nice comments from customers, it’s those people that make the whole experience worthwhile.
Thank you to everyone who purchased from me at the show!
While exhibiting at the show I treated myself and stayed in a beautiful little countryside escape just down the road, where glasses of wine were enjoyed each night!
I will be returning to Living Crafts for Christmas next year, but would like to have a bit of extra space to demonstrate making my work, so I’ll be needing a shop keeper to serve customers at my stand while I’m making!
