Recent Commissions

I love making bespoke custom orders, especially when there is a story behind them.

I often get asked to make a piece for a loved one, for certain special occasions or memories.

ceramic poppy vases

These ceramic poppy vases were originally made as a custom request for a lady who wanted them to be displayed on her husbands memorial shelf.
I had never used a poppy design in my work before so was excited to see how it turned out. The customer kindly sent me this photo below when the vases were finished and delivered.

I then had another request for more poppy vases to be made after someone else saw them on my Facebook page. Here are the second pair below, photo again kindly supplied by the customer.

Another recent commission was this seaside themed clock. This was a lot of fun to make – I was let loose on the design so had fun incorporating fish, starfish, impressed shells, layered glazes and melted glass.

Tea light houses are my favourite thing to make at the moment. I enjoy thinking about where the light from the candle will shine out from each side as I cut out the windows.

I had very detailed instructions from a customer on how this house was to be made 🙂

Here is the finished house. Doesn’t it look happy in it’s new home?

These ceramic wedding favours will be making an appearance at a beautiful wedding in a couple of weeks. These personalised hearts have been impressed with lace and have been turned into brooches, such a cute idea.

Poppy bowls have been popular lately! This little lot were delivered to a group of ladies who were all part of WW2 and all meet up once a month.

customer with poppy bowl One of my poppy bowls was sent to a customer in Australia earlier this year. The bowl was a gift for her friend, and she has just sent me these photos of her friend unwrapping the bowl which I absolutely love!

newborn baby personalised ceramic plaque

A new little lady made an appearance into the world last week. I was waiting ever so patiently for her to be born so that I could impress her birthday onto her plaque and get it fired with everyone else’s orders! I don’t think everyone else minded waiting on this occasion 🙂

It is usually women who request custom made and personalised pieces, so when I receive enquries from men I think it’s really sweet. This heart plaque below was ordered by a man for his wife. It was an anniversary present, and the egg in the nest symbolises their first daughter who was born a few weeks ago.
