Molly is settling in

…she’s slowly getting used to the different noises and smells, but likes to wake us up every morning at 5am with her strange meow! She still loves her scratching post,

and snuggles up on the sofa in the evenings while we’re watching tv,

But she can’t go outside yet. She’s been out in the garden for a little sniff so that she can get some fresh air, but she usually runs straight back in because she’s scared!

It will be strange when she does eventually venture out properly – there isn’t a cat flap so we’ll have to keep opening the door for her. But what if she’s out somewhere and we go out – she’ll be locked outside? Our old neighbour never had a cat flap, and I know of other people who don’t use them, so I suppose we’ll get used to it.

  1. Aww bless her…Ive had my cat for 5 years and have never had a cat flap…if shes in shes in and if shes out shes out. They get into their own routine…mine usually likes to sleep in the house whilst im at work and go out all night…in winter I have to literally push her out of the house though! 🙂 xx

  2. Molly is really cute.
most shelters and rescue groups suggest cats be inside only.

  3. Aww! Welcome little Molly!

I'm collecting a kitten tomorrow, already have {big} {old} Cat so am wondering how things will be…have the opposite problem…We DO have a flap…Jimmy can go out…new kittie can't…

    mmmmm!

  4. Molly is so cute! She will love it soon enough…Rosie took a few weeks to settle in to our new home but now acts as if she's never lived anywhere else. She especially likes having her own garden!
You look like you've settled in very well 🙂 x x
