Trip to Stratford

On Saturday I went for a day out in Stratford Upon Avon, one of the most popular tourist destinations in the UK, and birthplace of William Shakespeare. The weather was absolutely baking, and there were hundreds of people about. I last visited Stratford when I was little so didn’t remember it much. It is definitely one of the most beautiful and relaxing places I’ve been to, and would recommend it if you’ve never been. We ate a picnic on the grass alongside the river and watched a rowing boat race with people dressed in funny costumes.

The highlight of our day had to be the ride down the river in a rowing boat, although we almost crashed plenty of times! But it was fun.

We also really enjoyed the Butterfly Farm. I got loads of inspiring photos inside the farm, and will share those with you tomorrow…

oh no! I hope he got some new sunglasses. Looks like you had a great time, I've always loved Stratford when I've been to visit.

  2. Your visit sounds delightful – shame about the sunglasses though!
Your post really caught my eye today as it was about Stratford, as I've just been invited to sell some of my items in a new shop that's opening there in the Autumn!

I adore Stratford! We went there for our 10th Anniversary and have been a few times since. We really enjoy going to see plays there as well, well I do anyway, lol!

  6. Oh no! Poor Dave!

I love Stratford. I used to be an associate member of the RSC, so I know it well. Haven't been for years, though, so you've made me really envious!
