A couple of months ago, a lady in the USA ordered fifteen of my individually handmade ceramic brooches. The brooches were to give as gifts to the nurses on the Oncology Ward looking after the lady’s husband.
I absolutely love hearing how and why my work will be used. It makes what I do even more worthwhile hearing such lovely stories, and I feel honored to be a part of them.
Once the batch of brooches reached their destination, this positive feedback was received from the customer:
“The brooches arrived today and they are more beautiful in person. Thank you so much. I will let you know how the nurses like them. We won’t give them out for a few weeks. Thanks again and have a lovely summer.”
Before the brooches were handed out to the nurses, the customer decided she would like another fifteen brooches to give out to more of the nurses at the hospital. Below is the next feedback I received 🙂

I received the second shipment last week. They are beautiful! We handed them out to the oncology nurses last week and they LOVED them. I stopped by yesterday (I work at the same hospital) and they all had them attached to their name tags to wear every day. I meant to take pictures but forgot 🙁They all commented on how beautiful they were and were all touched at the gesture. Thanks again! Mary”
