Sketchbook Project week 4

I can’t believe our 4 week sketchbook project has come to an end. Time has flown by since we have been under pressure to produce one drawing a day for a whole month, but it has been a really enjoyable experience.

I now have a whole sketchbook full of new imagery to use as surface design ideas for my ceramics, and am also going to make some cards from some of the designs.

I feel as though I was just starting to get into the project, so I’m looking forward to continuing with anther exciting project soon. Here are snippets from week 4:

Day 22: ‘Iris Mania’. I think this is one of my favourites so far.

If you missed the previous weeks from our sketchbook project you can view week 1, week 2 and week 3 by clicking these links.

We managed to squeeze in trips to a local allotment and also to the woods to create some of our drawings. Getting out and about really helped to generate ideas, being surrounded by inspiring things to draw.

If you’ve followed our progress along the way I hope you have enjoyed seeing what we have been up to! I will be sure to post what I have done with some of the drawings, keep up to date with instant posts from my Facebook page where you’ll find loads going on.

Until the next project…!
