Design, Create & Decorate Your Own Handmade Pottery Pieces

Ever fancied having a go at making your own piece of work out of clay? You can!

Whether you are looking to come along in a group (perhaps a hen party), or want to come alone and meet other creatives, everyone is welcome. Suitable for children aged 8+.

This particular pottery workshop will be focusing on making tile based ceramic items where clay is rolled out and made into anything you like. Suitable for beginners as well as anyone who has experience working with clay. You will be encouraged to get creative and use your imagination, to create a pieces that are unique to you, handmade in your own style.

Perhaps you would like to make a personalised wedding plaque as a gift, a children’s bedroom door sign, a piece of art to hang on your wall, a set of decorated tiles to string together, coasters, plant markers, a set of splashback tiles for your home, gift tags, a cheese board – go wild! You can make one large wall hanging and/or lots of little ones.

Where

Charlotte’s countryside barn studio in Brockhall, Northamptonshire. (full address and directions will be sent after booking)

When

Saturday 10th October 2026, 1-3pm – World Mental Health Day.

What to bring

  • Aprons will be provided, but if you prefer to wear your own feel free to bring it.
  • Dress in layers. The studio will be heated but some feel the cold more than others!
  • A variety of tools and mark making materials will be provided for creating textures, but feel free to bring along any particular textures that you would specifically like to use, or any special leaves/flowers that you would like to imprint into the clay.

Terms

The cost of this session is £65 per person and runs for approx 2 hours.

Price includes clay, different slip colours, glaze, and kiln firing. Hot/cold drink and your choice from a variety of homemade cake is also provided.

Payment is required upfront to secure the date. Spaces will not be confirmed until payment is received. If you have paid and are unable to make the date agreed, it is with regret that your payment cannot be reimbursed but every effort will be put into finding another available date to suit.

If for any reason the workshop needs to be cancelled, a full refund will be provided.

You will be notified when your work has been fired. Finished pieces will be available for collection for up to 3 weeks after they are fired. If you would like your work posted to you, this can be arranged at cost.

For every place that is booked on my workshops, £2 is donated to The Greener Earth Project, enabling FOUR trees to be planted by this amazing local environmental charity.
