Is it too early to mention the ‘C’ word?
I’ve been preparing a few new Christmas designs ready for festive fairs later in the year, and am particularly pleased with one particular prototype of a ceramic Christmas house.
A customer who has purchased a few of my ceramic houses asked if I will be making Christmas themed houses this year. It wasn’t something I had planned, but thought I’d give it a go, using gingerbread houses as inspiration. The first house will be emerging from the kiln later this week…
New for Christmas 2014 will be these tall cone shaped tea lights. Can’t wait to see them lit up with candles inside.
It’s not often I make something for myself, but since moving into my first bought house earlier this year, I wanted to add a personal touch to the garden. I have made four large leaf shaped ceramic stepping stones which will (hopefully) be cemented into the lawn, leaving a little pathway to the shed. Pictures to follow!
The kiln has had it’s hoovering, and is ready to be loaded with new work this week. Always an exciting time!
A few new things to keep an eye out for…
This new set of petal shaped dishes below will be fired and available to purchase from my website very soon. I have only made one set so far – more will be made after testing the water but I think they are already looking popular from the response I have had on my Facebook Page so far.
These bowls will be themed blue and cream… If you would like alternative colours please get in touch.
More houses are in progress, and I’m also working on some more ceramic placemats…
And some more house themed hanging decorations are coming soon:
Watch this space 🙂
