A few more magazine publications for Charlotte Hupfield Ceramics!

My ‘Beside The Sea’ ceramic heart pendant appeared in the Gift Guide in the Dec 2011 issue of FACEON magazine, featured as Star Buy! I received my complimentary copy of the magazine this week…

My ceramic Leaf Bunting was featured in the Dec 2011 issue of Wedding Ideas Magazine…

and my ‘Dear Santa’ ceramic plaque was featured in the Dec 2011 issue of Affinity Magazine…

More magazine publications!

How exciting! More images of my work have been published in different magazines this month. Above you will see my oak impressed dish and two mini sculptural vessels featured in Park & Holiday Homes magazine. Also below is my decorative ‘Cowslip Meadow’ display panel featured in Cumbria Life & Carlisle Living magazines.

Ceramic Plant Markers Galore

My plant markers are going to be found in peoples Christmas stockings all over Britain this Christmas! They have been ‘flying off the shelves’ and will hopefully be put to use in greenhouses, herb planters, window sill and outdoor pots, border flowers, seeds, and vegetable plots in the new year.

Not only have they been a hit on my website leading up to Christmas, my plant markers are also published in some fantastic magazines this month.

Can you spot them above? This is the Christmas Gift Guide in the December issue of House Beautiful magazine! My markers are featured amongst some other lovely gifts in the Gifts for Gardeners section.

And that isn’t all! Also published in the Dec/Jan issue of Fusion Flowers magazine, are my ceramic plant markers on the Garden Notes page (see below). I’m very happy!

To view my full range of handmade ceramic plant markers, please view them here.

Made from stoneware clay and fired to a high temperature, my plant markers are durable and frost proof, and the name of the plant/herb being written on in pencil allows them to be reused time and time again. These markers will last forever, unlike traditional wooden markers that will rot.

Recent Publications

I’m very pleased to have some of my work published in two different magazines this month!

Firstly my ‘Beside The Sea’ bowl, featured on the Coastal Interiors page of the Country & Border Life collection, Welsh Coast magazine.

And also my red Heart Coasters which were featured amongst some beautiful red and white items in Living Edge magazine.

Coasters Featured in Asiana Wedding Magazine

I had an exciting email a few days ago telling me that my heart coasters had been featured in the ‘Asiana Wedding’ magazine. How exciting!

I’m in VOGUE Magazine!

Can you spot my vase on the ‘Summer Hues’ product feature page in this months Vogue magazine? How exciting!! The editor contacted me a few weeks ago and I’ve been dying to see the feature. I got my copy of the mag last week and tried to hold off sharing the news until the mag was out on the shelves. Woohooooo!

My Plant Markers are Famous!

My handmade ceramic plant markers have really enjoyed being featured in the lime light this past month, with two magazine features and lots of batches being sent off to shops!

I was so excited to see my plant markers featured in Amateur Gardening magazine, they were reviewed 19/20 against 5 other different sets (some of the others were even from John Lewis!), and voted as ‘Best Buy!’
The reviewer wrote that my markers “stood up to the task brilliantly. They were easy to write on with pencil and slid into the planting medium without fuss. These labels wash up very well! They are light in weight, so pots don’t tip over, and the rough texture stopped pencil markings from rubbing off.”

Last month my markers were also featured in Popular Crafts magazine in the garden shopping guide. How exciting!

Have you heard… this Friday is supposed to be the hottest day of the year so far, a perfect weekend for gardening ahead! Don’t forget to label your plants, herbs, flowers, and even vegetables with your very own set of handmade plant markers… available on my website here. They also make great gifts! Enjoy :)

My work in Ceramic Review!

The other night I was flicking through some of my old Ceramic Review magazines and came across a page featuring my degree show pieces from university. I had forgotten all about the feature and it was nice seeing my name in print. Can you spot the two sculptural vessels below?

These pieces don’t look it from the photograph, but they were large pieces about 90cm tall, level with my waist! There were three vessels altogether – I still have one, one is currently on display in a gallery and the other one sold in a garden sculpture exhibition in 2009.

I am bursting with inspiration now that I have read some interesting stories, browsed lots of lovely shapes, forms and colours of ceramics, and looked at interesting step-by-step processes.

So it will be off to the workshop for me again, working on some new pieces and continuing to develop others!
