The Down To Earth Gallery and Contemporary Crafts is supporting Craft and Design Month May 2011 – a brand new initiative designed to raise awareness of the enormous amount of creative talent we have in this country.

The Down To Earth Gallery is supporting Craft and Design Month as they recognise the importance of being able to choose handmade or individually designed and created products. “The products are a desirable alternative to cheap imports where everything looks and feels the same. However, whilst imported goods can be found at almost every supermarket and department store, it is hard to find individual designer makers. For many, a high street store or exhibition is just not viable.”
