I love this time of year in the studio… The halogen heater is on full whack, set to rotate mode to radiate the warmth around the room. It also helps with the drying process of the clay which is always a little slower than usual in autumn. I have the radio on, bopping away to songs while making, engraving, glazing and decorating at my work benches. Not forgetting the odd cups of tea thrown in!
I’m working on some special custom orders at the moment, as well as some new goodies and stocking up on other things ready for the festive craft fair season.
My new ceramic star decorations have been popular so far. I have sent some to Florida and Australia, and I’m looking forward to introducing them to the crowds at upcoming events. Each star is impressed with a lace texture, and can have names or other wording engraved for that special decoration to add to your tree.
I currently only have one Glo Cone left, but don’t panic! A Glo Cone army is in production 🙂
Don’t tell anyone, but I kept a Glo Cone for myself. We have it lit most evenings. The patterns that the light creates from the holes makes the room feel snug and wintery.
If you see anything you like or have any ideas for a custom piece I could make for you, please feel free to get in touch. I love a challenge and my aim is to make customers happy with special pieces to suit their requirements.
I’m really pleased with the launch of my ceramic plant pot decorations, they have been flying out this week. So much so that I am already making more in preparation for when I run out. I’ve decided to make some to display next to my Nan’s grave. It’s not a very nice thing to think about, but I think it will add a really nice touch.
Come and visit me this weekend!
I will be selling a range of pieces in Rugby at The Benn Hall this Sunday… Postcode CV21 2LN. Hope to see you there!
