Folksy Friday: Coastal Creations

Feast your eyes upon these gorgeous pieces from some very talented Folksy shop owners.

Since summer is on it’s way (BBQ weather, yippee!), I’ve put together a little coastal themed showcase.

It just so happens that I’m working on a beach themed commission at the moment. I am really enjoying the progress of the piece so far – It has been a while since I sat down and drew anything, so it was extra nice to draw into clay.

This is the start of the Porthmeor Beach commission I’m working on below. It is going to be made into one of my new ceramic curves, to stand up as a decorative piece of art.

Can’t wait to see the whole piece finished once I have decorated it in my style of colours and textures.

Whilst we are on the coastal theme, here’s one of my dishes that I’m using to display the shells I brought back from my trip to Thailand in the downstairs loo!

Have a lovely sunny weekend!

  1. Thank you for displaying my little dish! I like the look of your work and I will be very interested to see you completed commission. Almost everything I make is influenced by the coast.
    Kind regards
