Professional Photography

I’ve been lucky enough to have some professional photographs of my work taken by photographer Matt Debouge.

Matt has a passion for capturing images and enjoys photographing a range of subjects including nature, animals, people, still life and landscape scenes. I particularly love his collection of images of his two Maine Coon cats Marmalade and Myrtle, which brings me to one of Matt’s quotes which is very inspiring;

“When I look through the lens of my camera I aim to capture the moment from a unique angle that expresses my appreciation of the subject. Perhaps this is why my preferred style of photography is is close up and personal!”

Matt admitted that he found photographing my ceramics quite a challenge as it wasn’t a subject he was used to, but I think he has done a brilliant job and I’m really pleased with the results. What do you think?

I wasn’t sure about having a black background, as I’ve always used white, but when I saw these photos I was pleasantly surprised, I think a black background works really well, especially against some of the lighter coloured pieces – they appear so much more striking.

I would like to say a huge thank you to Matt for doing such a great job, I can finally say I have some professional photos of my work rather than my not-so-good attempts! Be sure to check out Matt’s website and even contact him if you are interested in having any of your work professionally photographed.

  1. It's amazing what a difference professional photography can achieve, not that your work wasn't beautiful to begin with 🙂

    I still find that magazines/press still love their white cutouts though. So it's always good to have a selection of lifestyle and on white, cover both bases!
